Congratulations to our July Athlete of the Month, Mario Delgado!
Mario and his wife, Sandra, moved from Texas to DC in the Summer of 2018. Having been a part of a CrossFit community in Texas for 2 years, the importance of finding a CrossFIt community in DC was high on the list for them. In the end, they chose us - and we are sure glad they did.
Mario constantly pushes himself through every WOD that is thrown at him. From weakness to strength movements, he grabs the bull by the horns - which is fitting given his favorite football team is the Dallas Cowboys. Mario is a regular in the 6p class and it’s always a blast to have. From his quick-witted humor to being very coachable, Mario comes in to every class always ready to work and has fun doing it! Mario constantly impresses our coaches with his abilities from stringing together 10 Unbroken Muscle Ups to how well he performed ‘Murph’ unpartitioned, with a 20# weight vest. He does it all. Alongside his impressive abilities in the gym, Mario is an all around Good Dude and always entertaining in conversation.
It’s a pleasure to have Mario a part of our community and we are pleased to announce him as our July Athlete of the Month.
